more stuff started coming in 10.5 cp pistons, eagle rods, crower springs and retainers, ferrea valves (1mm oversize) also an extra set of forged vitara pistons will probably be sold
piston and rods are used, the deal was good but not sure if its worth the gamble.
sleeved and semi closed deck engine block is next on order list

282-2 with wpc threatment Delta cam just came in.
this week we should start doing clearance work in the head for the new camshaft, then its off to the shop for assembly of all those goodies.

tonight we had time to start stripping the head, tomorow might see some cam clearancing testing.

May I suggest you tu use working gloves when you touch internal parts for this engine.

The grease/oil/acids on your hands/fingers are enought to cause a premature wear on these parts, even if you wipe clean after.

i have never worn gloves and i have never had an issue due to the shit on my hands lo

and i have assembled quite a few engines in my day

although i have built many that weren't abused and are still living long happyish healthy lives

I guess i've just never worried about it to be honest. I'm sure it's a plausible statement but how much are we talking about? A stock rebuild going 190k vs 200k?

If that's the case, the shit is long out of my hands before that. You can label me a hack for that one. I'll accept.

i prefer being called a hack, just means i have less people asking me to do shit, especially for free
