You want to build a drift car..? I don't understand, any auto hobby cost money.. Lots and lots of money... I've barely tipped the iceberg on my jeep and i've spent around 2k just on maintenance parts from what i've torn up..
A 2000 vette would be a 10k car private sale, spend another 2k in parts and you have a car that'll last you years, and a potential rolling chassis afterwards. A del-sol is a piece of shit civic, and a 98 taco is just a waste of money, especially since it's already been lifted.. Only god knows if they did it right, or at least to your definition of right.
You'd spend an arm and a leg on a 'drift' car before it performs the way that it should, or you could go save time and money and buy a corvette.. Or a 331 fox body, or something that has a platform to work with, rather than import junk..
Just my 2 cents.
Well then, its a good thing your not my dad and i make my own money. I was looking for opinions, not a lecture.
Im aware project cars are costly, and thats fine.
Rather me build from the shell up then buy one track ready with tons of fuck ups.
The money spending part isnt an issue since i plan on doing this as a hobby and a good learning platform.
And if i had 10k cash it wouldn't go towards a vehicle, it would go towards a house.
I have plenty more years to learn from my mistakes but im going to build what I'd like for what i like.
