also according to tire rack in that particular size you cant get an f rating tire and a winter tire together. e is highest. but it should be well more than enough. the only thing i dont know about is loudness on the highway and how they wear on dry roads. how many miles will your trip to texas be? and truck and plow both are nice.
2800 miles round trip, not counting any sight seeing etc, so probably 3000-3500 depending on what we end up doing while there. So the E rated with a 3k+ weight load is the way to go I think now.(the ones I have on now are E with 3,072 lb limit) I just wanted to make sure I didn't have any issues. Never had a plow truck before and I wasn't sure about the extra stress and pressure from the snow when I'm pushing it too, and I might have a fully loaded truck when I have to plow my way out in the morning. We get 2 feet plus of snow overnight sometimes here on the Lake Michigan Shoreline, average snowfall is around 100 inches a year and it's usually that wet/heavy lake effect snow.

A 12 ply on a 3/4ton is going to be pretty fucking ugly to deal with bud. Would be a similar effect to running a bias ply tire.
8/10 ply d or e rated tire will be ore than fine.
Most 3/4ton truck tires are 3200+ cap anyways.
I talked to a guy that works at a tire shop on the phone this morning and he said the F rated will ride like a wagon wheel too. LOL
