What bar did ford set? The 2011-2014 GT made great gains with bolt ons and it was cheap. It was a few tenths faster than the 5th gen in the 1/4. Don't forget GM has been beating them with the catholic school paddle since 1993. For 4 years they had a slightly faster mustang and they built a handful of Ford GTs a decade ago.
It sounds like you have a really short memory lol. Just like anyone that owned a mod motor powered mustang that didn't come with a factory blower. That was 15 years of RAPE.
When ford started producing something other than the 4.6, they set the bar.. And I'm talking about a lot more than performance. Those Camaros are as appealing as a mid 90s 5.0 asthetically, they are actually difficult to drive due to blind spot issues, every time I got in one "keep in mind, it was a 2012" I felt like I was going to rip off the floor board in it.
I probably shouldn't have said "about time gm", but yeah Ford has definetly set the bar now, since they have more than the terminator, and they are appealing to more than 1 market, with the Fuckus ST.. So yeah, id own a corvette far before a mustang, but performance wise, market share wise and asthetically "my opinion" ford has had GM beat for the last almost 5 years .. It's like when Chevy came out with the crew cab... The following year, dodge released the Mega Cab just to say "fuck you".
