Aftermarket suspension is usually worse than OEM.
That's why it is recommended to use a 3/4ton pickup (and gas is usually better than diesel) THe gas trucks (for older models) use the same front suspension as diesels but without the weight of a diesel motors so they are more adept to putting a plow on. Secondly, a diesel in the cold is a shit storm
