check drivers side door. Do not go by tire sidewall that usually means MAXIMUM PSI.

never go by the PSI stated on the tire, psi on the door is set by the size and weight of your vehicle, psi on the tire is MAX psi (which isnt good for your handling or the tires) my old boss used to tell me "this tire doesnt know if its on a truck or a subcompact"

My truck says 80PSI on door but only 65psi max on tires.

What do I do?

My trucks tires are 10 ply 80 PSI
I leave them at like 40-45

It's only a 01 1500 Silverado, 80 is crazy
I tow a roughly 8000lb camper without airing the tires up

I like to think the tires will wear more evenly on my slightly light truck (not a 3/4 ton)

Guys a dumb ass lol...

His old boss dosn't know his ass from a hole in the ground either.

But, if he's right, I guess you better air up to 48psi when you go rock crawling. Better for your handling etc.
