Big nono is fuel issues, stay away from those because like most diesels it can be quite expensive.

I would honestly spend more time searching for a new job, or furthering your education / specialization skills in the meantime, instead of hoping to spend money to make money. Just my .02 of course, but I personally would be pissed if I spent what little savings I had, hoping to make a profit, without making a dime for a few months.

You can certainly try it, but I don't think it's going to go as planned.

Guess that's a difference of opinion. If I had to claim unemployment I would say money is definitely an issue haha. And I would take any job before ever claiming unemployment.

Right? Ive been working for 7 years straight. This is the first time being laid off. And im only getting a couple of months (company expects to rehire me in september) so, yeah. Im using my time off to visit family and friends that i havent seen in a year of being out of state.

But anyways. So far I got my eye on Celica just a few miles down the road im gonna look at. Has front end damage but looks promising. And $500 asking price. And ofcourse ill haggle.

So you were furloughed? Damn son, that sucks.. But its good to take a break every once and awhile... The mentality that unemployment insurance is welfare is false.. Its temporary ground while waiting to find a job..

Are you a mechanic? You can find cars parked which need simple things fixed to become reliable again.
