Exactly, which is why I am questioning it. I don't think I had any problem switching gears when I left it. That's why him saying transmission is questionable to me. I just don't have cash to fix or buy a new vehicle right now. And I just moved out here to NM. I'm going to look at it tomorrow and talk with them more. It just didn't sound right over the phone. The truck is only worth as much as it scraps for. So, I'm not worried about too too much. I just wish I had a working ride. And he better not try to charge me for basically doing nothing but telling me the transmission is bad.

Have you noticed reverse not working or slipping? That's the normal 1st sign....

Just got my truck back. It starts now, but won't shift into gear. I haven't looked at the transmission yet, but it's sounding like that's what it is. Sigh.

He said it was the distributed that went bad, is the reason why it wouldn't even start...

Can anyone speculate as to a transmission being ruined on a 4WD Truck by the towing company towing with one axil on the ground?

Lol no, 99% of tow truck drivers know how to tow a car.. It's speculating to say that he didn't have it in neutral.
