They are amazing. You just have to understand how to work on the Rotary. A good friend of mine had a FD, converted from twin turbo to single turbo. Pushing 300+ horse. It was fucking fast to. And it sounded great. I loved driving it. It even handled like a dream.

Damn! According to my calculations, he has a 3% chance to make it more than 500 miles before he blows a seal. But there's only a 1% chance of that happening.

When I built my first motor it went 500 miles before it destroyed every factory rod bearing and my oil pump

sucked

thats ok, the first 383 i built when i was 14 or 15 made it to 8100 rpm before it came out the pan hahahaha, like fist sized holes


it probably had 20 miles of up and down the road on it before i was doing brodies in the field and just went Ka Fuckin BOOM!

my dad laughed at me and said "thats why we dont use nice new parts on our first solo motor builds"


maybe had a grand into that motor so it wasnt bad

I had a 383 sbc in a nova in highschool that would turn 8300. It was a junkyard/craigslist build but that damn thing took a beating. It lasted like 6 or 7 months of non stop WOT neutral drops. Poor thing probably only made about 300hp @ the crank lol

It ran strong but I think the every day valve floating got to it a bit...

well those 20 miles consisted of wot pulls and tires smoking hahaha, it would turn more than that, but i had a 8200 chip on the box so i wouldnt destroy it, so much for that theory

i was probabaly making 580 or so and if i remember correctly it was like 13:1 hahah
