If my shit was in piled up like that and I found out, it would be on a flat bed being brought somewhere else instantly

Fuck those guys

I build dirt race cars that get beat to shit and I wouldn't treat any ones stuff like that.

Also bolts in a box? All that shit should be cleaned and bagged and tagged.

Bingo

Also i think you would be fine with the RXT if you want to stay with Mcleod. You can call them and they will probably swap discs out with you. That is the only difference. It handles slipping much better. The RST is not recommended for any type of racing. That aluminum flywheel is unnecessary for an N/A street car. It will make the car harder to drive and make launching at the track harder/slower. They are really only recommended for road course apps or similar stuff. The moment of inertia on the twin disc is already lower than stock so it will feel lighter than what you are used to as it is. A new steel flywheel from them is around $125 cheaper IIRC.

Hp should have nothing to do with the condition of your trans. The wear parts are worn by mileage or incorrect shifting. The non wear parts like gears should only see damage with huge power or really bad mis shifting. Why do they say they need to replace 2nd and 3rd gear? Did you keep driving it long after the synchros were shot? What wear parts are they putting back in it?

That clutch drives nice and Mcleod puts a really high hp rating on it. In practical use it really does not stand up to drag strip abuse. People smoke them with modest power. The RXT holds up a lot better but still fails well below Mcleod's rating. It seems like you still have time to return it and get a good one if they are waiting on trans parts.

Yeah, didn't he say like a week ago he actually ran a low 12 1/4 with the synchro messed up? :o

il look into the rxt disc swap. EDIT: just got off the phone with mcloed and they adviser did say to go for the rxt, and tranny shop told its still in the box so il probably trade it quickly
the edge of second and 3rd gear are all rounded up, the tech showed me. i did drive the car afther the synchro was shot but i wasnt engaging the 3rd gear and second gear went in fine. Most wear parts are getting changed, im not fully accustomed to tranny language but this is wat he metioned, fork pads, synchros, slider gears and the 2d and 3rd gear.

I haven't heard of anyone round gears like that. They usually break or do nothing.

You should be getting:

Carbon fiber blocker rings (synchros) for 1-2, 3-4, 5-6
Bronze fork pads for 1-4 OE for 5-6/R
Steel 3-4 shift fork
sliders as necessary
Billet keys for 3-4

If you aren't getting that it isn't worth opening it up really.
