Dui is usually good for 6 months to a year of no license

VA has the harshest laws in the usa, my friend got 3 months suspension, 2 years restricted on top of numerous fines

E: He had 3 related charges, like drunk in public, before this.

thanks everyone for the input. i just changed the oil and will be turning it on.
I'll bring it into the dealership before driving it next year. For those that asked
yes it was a dui even with a lawyer it didn't look like we were going to win the trial
so decided to settle for a plea deal of 1 year prohibiton w/o fines rather than risk the
rest of my life with a criminal record and all the other penalties

but wow not being able to drive really does suck, never again

Uh pretty sure you can get a restricted license to drive to and from work if it's first offense, but I may be wrong.

any ability to file for a temporary restricted license so you can drive to work/school?
i don't know your state/laws but it might be something worth looking into.
