I don't wanna move up to nascar. I just wanna race super late models :)

And I won't find out until before I leave for vacation. So sometime around the last week of july

better start rolling in some bank for late models. aluminum race motors arent cheap.

well if you could get going and making money at it to support it then it wouldnt be as bad. you really cant own one and be competitive without pretty much breathing nothing but that car. our local legend races all the damned time hes constantly hitting tracks but when hes not taking his late model out hes racing a modified for a guy from peebles ohio. he whips ass with that modified a lot too.

hopefully you can get a ride and get going i would love to do something similar just dont really have time to race anything with driving a semi 6 days a week

There's a good few drivers at our track that own their own car but s good majority of them just drive them for an owner.

The team I'm sort of with owns both of their cars.

its not too late for local racing. he just means moving up to the big time racing circuits like nascar, indycar, f1, etc.

Like I said, you're starting too late in life.

One basic entry level late model car is at least $70k I bet and that's just the car. You have to be a bad ass driver with decades of experience before you'd ever get the chance to race one.

Washington's rookie of the year in 2013 was 31 I believe...

Might have been 2012. Can't remember exactly

That does not tell us what he began racing. Guarantee he was racing something else before becoming a late model driver.

Granted theirs a lot of different series out there. What late model series were you thinking of?

There's 2 kids racing this season that are 16 and 17 respectively and driving cars that cost around 85k each.

Age doesn't really matter.

There's also a few 18-20 year old females racing too

There's also a few 18 or 19 year olds driving in the k&n pro series which is literally 2 steps below the Sprint Cup of nascar
