I did notice a slight sound change with a drop in, just a little throatier. Power increase, as you know, is pretty much unnoticeable, but it's there in theory and on charts.

edit: i will let you know about the exhaust.. i only got the car in the beginning of the summer from a local and he already put the exhaust on it. it was something i had never heard of though..
bought it at 25k miles for 18k (car came with exhaust and d2 racing coilovers and a bunch of other small mods)
because i wrecked my brz limited right before the summer.
