the torque of the n55 is so much more noticeable in this than my 335, it handles a lot better too with the m suspension package

the n55 does have some turbo lag though, my n54 had no problem with this

What motor does the 1 series use?

07 08 uses n54, all the others are n55

The lag on the N55 is way less. The twin scroll single spools way faster.



2007-2010 used the n54, as well as the 1M and 335is. 2011+ used the N55.

true i always thought they ended the n54 in 09

the 2 baby turbos on the N54 had 0 lag at all, this one I can feel when it hits boost, could be the weight difference, idk but you can feel everything more

just unplugged the exhaust valve acuator, now its fully open instead of half closed pre3k rpm

gives it a deeper and louder tone sounds nice

deciding on wheels, probably going to keep the m sport wheels and get them gunmetal chrome
