Everything shuts down here. We rarely get snow, but when we do it usually falls on top of rain that froze and then it will all melt, but just barely. Then it refreezes and we are fucked. No one here has winter tires and the only people with experience driving in winter weather are retirees. The average and below average drivers out themselves really quickly. The ice storm last year they nicknamed icepocalypse. There were tree crews from all over the country cutting broken/bent trees from around roadways from february to june. They were all paid with federal disaster relief money.

I've only driven in "normal" snow once. It was cake.

Supposed to get to -40 here tonight.

Fuck that. I was at work last night and unfortunately ended up outside most of the night. It was 24F with 20mph winds. I was miserable. I can't imagine...

It's still 2 degrees. So we haven't started to plummet yet. The plus side of this type of weather? Your room temp beers are cold in literally 1:30 seconds to 2 minutes being outside in some powder.

I'm just thankful we haven't gotten more than an inch of snow so far, my car is a mess in the snow, even small amounts.
I honestly don't know how ride is doing it in his vette, i have enough problems and his car is quite a bit lighter and puts down more power.
