size/power is kind of irrelevant when it comes to first time bikes. I have always said, and will continue to say, that you might as well get the biggest bike you can afford right off the bat.. because a big bike rides completely different then a small one, and you will get bored of the small one eventually and upgrade to the bigger one with more power anyways at some point. So you might as well just start big and be done with it.

Big or small, slow or fast, if you are an idiot, a bike will kill you regardless what it is. Its why the first bike i ever owned was a 2000 R1 back in high school (1000cc rocket).

just dont be an idiot when you ride, and go for the biggest you can afford.

Any hour meter or rebuild? Looks in excellent shape , but If he went through a chain and sprocket maybe lots of use.

Turbo dodge I'm not one to argue with people, but you should take your dirt bike advice elsewhere. Bike selection is key and going for an overpowered bike that cannot be controlled by an inexperienced/ underpowered rider could be a huge mistake. 450s really take a talented rider to handle them. Sure lots of people " ride " them, but they are not even close to using the bike how it is supposed to be ridden. A 250f or 350f would be a good choice. I'm 6"5 215 and don't even ride a 450.

My first dirt bike when i was 14 was a 450honda dirtbike lol <<

idk, i guess i just like power haha.

And as i said before, anyone can kill themselves on a fast bike just as much as they can on a slow/low powered one if they are an idiot. They all have engines, and they all have clutches. They all idle at roughly the same mph in X gear. What you do with it from there is up to you / the rider. Thats where you find out if you are an idiot or not. lol

I almost murdered myself starting with a 250 2 stroke never ridden before haha. Wish I had someone filming. First time I tried it I launched it 8 feet in the air.
