Took it to dealership.

They want $361 diagnosis included to fix it.

They say the window regulator failed and needs a new one.

Is that a fair price?
I looked the part up online. $80 or so.
I'm already $99 in the hole for diagnostics.
Might as well just eat this one for now eh? :(

i dont know where the window regulator is or how hard it is to get to and change but having the dealership do it may be your best option. some of that stuff regarding power windows can be a bitch to get to if its in the door panel and theres not an easy way to reach it. if you look at it this way you would be out 180 dollars to fix it yourself or pay an extra 180 for them to do it.

Yea that's what I figure too :(

Scowering internet for rebates and coupons ... No luck

The regulator, in a ford at least, is the X like tension cable and motor that is almost as big as the door panel it self. You adjust the tension on the cable, wrap it in and around the gears properly and you're on your way.

I don't have a garage to rip off the door panel or I would give it shot. Its -15 F where I am right now lol

ok yeah that would be a serious pain in the ass if it was me i would let the dealership do it. hate to say it but some things are better off letting the pros do because they have the tools to do it and know how to do it for the easiest and quickest fix.
