A guy on corvetteforum caught the dealership techs doing burnouts on a sound recording he left in the car and the dealer didn't want to replace his tires or his now damaged clutch that was clearly from the clowns in the back. This was a newish C6 Z06 going in for an oil change IIRC.

It ended up being very long and drawn out i think. GM corporate finally forced the dealer to make it right. They actually have public relations specialists that are registered users on many different GM based forums. All they do is monitor forums for problems and complaints. You can actually get more done talking to them and getting a corporate service case # than you can talking to the troglodytes at the dealership.

I was going to say, this sounds like what happened with a ZL1 camaro at a dealership right down the road from my house... oh wait the article is right there within this one

It was a huge problem at first state that they never really locked up the keys to customers cars and the night cleaners would go for joy rides... that time it was a drunk employee but still one reason never to trust a dealership.

I think people overreacted. Its not rare that a tech takes a vehicle home to help diagnose problems that dont occur in 5-10 minutes of driving. Especially CEL problems.

And its not like the tech was ken blocking it and drifted into a tree, the dude just hit a deer...

Only thing I disagreed with was the fact that the dealership wasnt covering it. At that point I just would've called Subaru of America corporate and a lawyer, not post all over Facebook and internet forums.

/e Just saw that part about the tech taking the car to class, I didnt read that in the original complaint a couple days ago. My bad.
