I disagree. Being the first of its type, I think these cars have more character in the front motor than 99% of the same ole bullshit that rolls off of the assembly line today. I love the idea that soon they'll have better range than even the best hybrids, with more power than even the fastest sports cars.

E: And not to sound old, but come on man... The safety ratings? It fucking broke one of the machines it was being tested on.

its just sad that theres so much blowback from the auto industry that is trying to essentially shut down tesla motors. elon musk is doing so much and even letting his patents become public to help the advancement of the technology.

Being an electric with an extremely consistent power output they can manage traction control far better than an EFI engine can. Because it has perfect traction, it is going to destroy average drivers in manual gas cars with equal power and equal traction. Even a really good driver will do nothing but hold even with it.
