OP, leave 30 seconds earlier and drive 7 or 8mph over and you will never get stopped.

the 8500 is okay but if you actually want to avoid tickets don't go cheep buy a 9500IX or a valentine or you're false sense of security with a old/cheep detector is just going to get you more tickets.

i used to drive 2 hours one way to work and didnt make it to work one time because of a flat tire and the spare was shit also. we even blew the upper radiator hose once, fixed it alongside the road, and was still 15 minutes early for work.

people need to quit being lazy and allow yourself a little bit of time to get places. i see it countless times during the day some asshole doing 80 in a 55 swerving through traffic trying to get somewhere on time.

Passport 8500 x50 for $150 (used) is a hell of a deal, as long as you get a good used one.

Takes me 15 mins to get to work. I give myself 30. I've been late twice. Both within 5 minutes. One due to a train and one due to the snow.

Must be nice taking the highway to work and not have to drive through the city.

You just assume that everyone that drives by you at 80 is just an asshole that didnt leave themselves enough time. Maybe they had a family emergency and need to be somewhere ASAP.
