Ecu reads less air flow, so it decreases fuel . Making it run a tad more lean ( best case senario )

Yes, that's about what it does. That's why I have been saying it's sketchy. I've also read that, after a while, the ecu could learn the mod and revert back to stock.

This is a beyond a joke. The factory tune is a little rich under power enrichment for a reason. Leave it that way unless you are going to have it professionally tuned by a competent tuner.
