yeah i just found the manuals online today, we both bought ours used we got a deal $200 for a tmaxx and a revo both needed nothing to run but are completely out of tune and not maintained

are gaskets used on these for the header? neither of ours have a gasket and sometimes you can see fuel spit out? i rigged a beer can gasket on mine and it seemed to help so i was going to go get some actual gasket material and put it on, but i dont want to ruin the compression or anything by putting too much distance between the block and header

Typically there will be a built-in gasket on the header side if I'm not mistaken. Can't see there not being one.. I never really had an issue with one leaking though so I'm not sure.

This. The car's aren't bad... Them are half ass forgiving. Those fucking planes and helicopters are another thing. I wont ever touch another plane. I simply just can not get the hang of it. I can fly a helicopter just fine but planes and me just dont mix

hahah yeah i got out of it before brushless and lipos

i use to take 40$ sets of foam tires and cut half the foam off of them to "true" them and i had a set up to cut the coms on regular brushed motors, and i hand wound my own mod motors, and cheated up some "box stock" ones

use to spend hours looking at battery packs for matched cell #'s or looking at the volt/rpm/torq numbers on dynoed motors.

i had thousands of dollars into it. lol it was stupid. and i sold it all and bought a real race car. and then i realized how expensive racing is if you want to win, dosent matter what level.

Thats every motorsport now... I kinda miss the older days.

Spending 1k on a derby car and kicking ass or decking the heads and turning the pump on a tractor for pulling....

Now people have 20k motors in a demo car bored over to accomodate running without coolant and a farm stock tractor (with 30bhp from the factory) pushes over 200bhp, runs on 110 octane and will sheer a 5inch axle...

can't be competitive in anything anymore without 6 figure in it... Hell, I remember when a 500HP street car was insane. Now there are bi turbo cars making 2000whp on the street with 93/c16 mix...

Here's a perfect example. This is my buddy's truck from up north. truck makes 580 to the wheels and runs in the street stock class. Has over 30k invested into a stock stroke stock bore 454.
Main rules are: Stock block as indicated on vin, Stock heads (can be decked, and ported). No high rise intake, 650cfm carb, and there are limitations to the camshaft as well.
Balanced and blue printed and he runs 7800rpm out of a "stock" big block.
