Still depends what you're comparing the car for.

Reading comprehension is your friend. Just saying. The STI has the boxer rumble and that's about it. The guy you are arguing with has owned both of the turd piles in question.

look is clearly the 2011-2014 STI, it haz hatchback.
performance, stock is about the same. generally what happens with cars in the same class.
comfort clearly goes to the one with the automatic transmission cuz no confusing 3rd pedal for street racers to have to use.

Evo clear winner.

2.0T L-4 AWD w/ 3 LSD's

2.5T Box4 AWD w/ 2 LSD's

I've always liked G11's w/ the EJ257 but nothing beats the 4G63. Even if you have to increase the displacement to keep up.

It's the APEX's where you win, not the straightaways.

Both cars are more hassle than they're worth. Its personal preference in what people like, but if you seriously compare them the EVO comes out on top in practically every way lol.

^ I would listen to this guy
STI has floating ringlands as well = random blowups

OH SHIT??!

So because he owned both, every other opinion doesn't matter? makes sense.

i've only owned sti and know lots of people with evos and at some point its personal preference.

as for a daily driver, anyone that is not a retard will choose the sti(unless you don't like the look of it). It's a lot more comfortable than the GSR imo. ( MR is automatic, could be an advantage to some people, but 12k$ more than the sti )

Go and actually do your homework. Nothing I'm saying is opinion.

< 2004 i'd take STi anytime, but when it comes to EVO X and one of the recent STi's, I'd take EVO no doubt.
Don't know much about comfort - i think they both got AC and stereo, that's all I need, I just look at performance.

I'm surprised Mitsubishi can still afford to make cars.... I give them less than 10 years before they bottom out.
