Your first bike should be something like a Honda Rebel. Something light and low. Learn how to ride first. Down the road (years, not months) consider the crotch rocket gsxr or r1.
Please keep us updated on what ya get!
imo- this is a pretty cool looking lil' Rebel. Pretty much just changed the seat and rear fender (plus a few things) and it looks entirely different....

Just my opinion.....I'd rather have a cruiser than fast sports bike.
If someone has never been on 2 wheels i suggest a cheapo used dirtbike first. When you make the jump to street they will all break the speed limit so it is 100% up to the brain between the ears of the rider. A light 600 is a great starter. A rebel does not belong on the interstate or highway system imo just like a ninja 250. They all serve their purpose.

I got an insurance quote on a cbr600rr earlier this year. 22 with a couple minor tickets. $12000 a year. Fuck that.
Yeah you don't finance a bike for that reason. Liability is cheap as hell but full coverage is ridiculous.

lol. Great point. Wonder if OP has tried getting a quote for bike insurance.
Since he is buying used i hope he is paying cash or using a collateral loan.
