This is the best suggestion by far.. ammonia would be the cheapest option but they even have spray designed to keep them away if you want to look into.

I know how you feel I think.. my cats never shit in my yard they would always shit in my neighbors garden and she would throw a fit.. first of all nothing I can really do but second of all its actually good for plants
