I think so. I know the Golf 2-Doors are coming so I assume the GTI 2 Doors are coming as well. Can't really get any concrete details. VW put out information about the three-door GTI S as their base model GTI (as opposed to the currently released five-door GTI) but I don't know about release dates. I'd ask a dealership when they're coming. I'm pretty sure they're coming in the next few months, early 2015 though. This page says there is a three-door GTI in the US. Just doesn't say when.

You're not really losing much with four door, I'd argue you're losing more by not having it. Performance isn't changed, you gained added comfort for people in the back seat. If you don't like the look of five-door GTI's I guess that's the deal breaker but if it's not a big deal I'd go for the four door. It's truly an amazing car and improvement on the already great Mk. VI GTI.
