What?

I was sarcastically fucking with him for suggesting an lsx swap.  It's clearly the best all around swap...

To each and their own. It's definitely a top choice but then again you guys like spending 20gs to run 13s so who knows.

It's lighter, smaller, cheaper, has cheaper parts, and has more aftermarket support. So yeah...

A 2j is one of the most expensive ways to do anything.

You can get full ls swaps for under 5k? (With low miles)

You can get an entire 5.3L for $300-$800 depending on mileage. There are millions of them out there. Don't you know enough about supras to know everything associated with a 2jz is priced as high as giraffe pussy?

I have an LS3 lying around, no tranny/accesories/ecu though.

The thing to consider here is that if I were to go 2JZ, I'd have access to dirt cheap parts compared to getting LS parts.

That being said, I'm going to drive the 13B until it blows up or I decide I've had enough of 300-400 to a tank. lol

How many miles do you get per gallon of oil is the real question though ;)

And btw you should sell that LS3 for profit and go with a 5.3 or 6.0 so you have cash for a good trans etc.

I'm talking full swaps though. Wiring, transmission, everything.

And yea I agree but that doesn't make it a bad platform. I think a stock 2jz would be more fun than a stock 5.3L.

How so on the parts? A cam and spring will make right at 500whp from the ls3.

GM bottom ends do tend to be beastly.

Thats intake to oil pan with engine harness and ecu. A T56 is around $1500.

Depending on the year of the 5.3 the power output is very similar. The 2j will make more torque all stock. There is a massive weight penalty for the 2jz v160 vs an aluminum lsx and t56.
