With 5k you can do a lot more than just wheels, tires and a lift.
I got 35s, a 2.4" lift, track bar, drag link, tie rods, and ball joints for probably around 2.5-3k.

Ive had my JKU since December and its a ton of fun, but the lift and tires is a huge must.

Idk if I would personally. Looks ok in that pic, but it also has the silver section of the bumper which offsets the black a bit.

More importantly, have you taken the doors off yet!?!?
Thats the best part! Granted it looks funny with no doors, no top and tiny stock tires.

They arent bed lined or painted at all, just cut. They actually look a little darker than they really are in that right pic.

I read a few thread on how to cut them but kinda just went and did it on my own. Since I had the bumper I tried to match the angles and taper the fenders in at an angle. The fender cuts like butter with a good jig saw blade but the support structure underneath was a pain to trim back. Mainly because it was thick and the jigsaw blades were too short.

If you cut your own, the biggest piece of advice I have is to cut with a good blade and make one long cut. The jigsaw will cut it pretty clean, but if you have to go back and try and clean it up with a dremel/sandpaper/saw again it can be a mess. One cut and a light sanding on the edge to remove any burrs is the way to go.

Not going to lie terribly nervous to start chopping things up but hey could be an excuse for new aftermarket ones

That was my logic. Worst case scenario you spend a few hundred on some nice fenders if you mess them up. Best case its a free mod.

Looks good. Ive been thinking about picking up a hardtop and getting the paint matched for mine. Found one for $1k on craigslist, not sure if I want to spend that kind of money on a new top at the moment though.
