kooks seem to be pretty popular on the forums. Can't say I've really read up on long tubes a whole lot tho.

Whats the mod list so far?

i had kooks on the cobra and i didnt mind them one bit but they were on it when i bought it so i couldnt tell you the exact ones it was.

Cai and borla cat back. Great sound and has kept me content since I bought it (both were already on it)

But now I'm ready for more.

I can vouch kooks make a great product. I haven't put any on a new mustang, but I had no issues from them on my Fox body.

Still sounds pretty good compared to the oem manifolds. Gotta flow a good bit better too. But the build quality if BBK is more so what I was pointing out. I would have went with long tubes too had I not have picked the shorties up for such a steal.

kooks lth with an off road x, shorties are absolutely pointless.

youre gonna need an x pipe with a header swap, and if youre adding long tubes, i assume the extra noise from a catless x pipe will not be bothersome.

koj mentioned arh, which are awesome, and if i recall correctly, they branched off from kooks and started doing their own thing.

i have kooks on my car and love it, wouldnt of picked any other brand. theyre known for having great fitment and superb overall product quality. theres a reason why theyre double the price of your average, run of the mill headers.

I've installed kooks and arh on fbodies and vettes. They are pretty equal in the quality and price dept. Both are top of the line. I like ARH's mid pipes better since they are brand specific.



And yes shorties are pointless. If i'm going to go through the trouble of a header install it had better make more power than stock.
