My and my families insurance is free. One of the very few perks left of being in the military.

does that insurance cover you no matter what? cancer treatment, rare diseases, etc? genuinely curious

Yes once you are covered they can't drop you unless you stop paying your premiums. Full time employees main company benefits are a 401k/IRA or some form of retirement investment and health insurance. The company pays the majority of the insurance premium. In my case it is around $200/month. That is for health, dental, eye, and prescription coverage.
