ya apparently it was new last year. dumbest shit i had heard in a while when he told me lol.

when a truck driver tells you the law is always against them, believe us. i got a ticket for talking on my cell without a hands free and had to appear in court to show i had not been on my phone for like 5 or 6 hours. i even showed the cop my hands free and asked him why i would spend a hundred dollars on one and then not use it. prick actually told me that he wasnt calling me a liar while he was printing the ticket off and i had to bite my tongue to not tell him that he obviously was because he was writing the ticket.

and before any swole mf'ers want to blow about how they wouldve talked tough to the cop it was a dot officer and you wont fuck with them.

Lol ya my dad pretty much hates HiPos and DoT officers after being a trucker for years.

DoT bastards specialize in small technicalities which is why you don't wanna fuck with them. Bitch about a 5 over ticket and you'll probably have 3-4 more tickets if he decides to take a trip around the truck just looking for small errors.

i got pulled over by the flying tires in ohio for "looking heavy". i showed him my bol saying i was grossing 77k and he didnt know what to say. he said he was gonna get another cop with portables out there but they never even broke them out. they found some small junk to write me up it wasnt enough to put me out of service though.

it gets pretty ridiculous at times. and with the whole walmart truck tracy morgan fiasco i saw one story where cops were trying to pin a driver down for being tired. their reasoning and proof of his tiredness was some empty coffee cups and 5 hour energy bottles they found in the truck. they just throw shit at the wall and see what they can make stick to a trucker and then everyone wonders why prices of goods keep going up.

Yeah I heard some rough stories in the states.
I won't be leaving Canada for quite a few reasons, that being one of them.
