You want GM MLS gaskets and a new set of gm bolts. Someone has to hold the weight of the header as the bolts are threaded in. If there is any tension on them they wont seal. Start in the center and work out. DON'T over tighten them!

you want a header gasket that is going to crush, and use ultra copper, and locking hardware that wont back out.


do it right or dont do it.

It wasn't my car, and we were just working with what they gave us trying to rush through in the rain. Obviously it didn't work haha.

LSX's are not iron headed sbf's. No one uses locking bolts because the oem bolts are TTY with thread locker pre applied.


The GM MLS gaskets seal better than anything else. Some people use copper spray, some don't. If the flange is straight the MLS will seal.

fuck that, the possibility of them coming lose or me having to do it again is worth the price to pay for better materials.

They dont come loose. Besides, a steel bolt in an aluminum head is asking for trouble.
