has anyone ever bought a car more then they could afford.....? found a 2003 911 turbo :drool: ......700 a month in payments, which is way to much but I fell in love the minute my foot hit the gas (didnt buy, just test drove)

Imb4 cant afford.... I know... it was a test drive

No. They work out a deal with the bank they have a partnership with. The bank gets a kickback from the dealer and you get 0% down but not the rebates. It would be safe to assume the bank is getting about half of what the rebates are worth. We negotiated $3kish off the sticker on our Cruze and took the incentive rate through the dealer since it was going in her name to help build her credit. She would have been paying 4-5% otherwise. We gave up a $2000 rebate for the 0.9% rate. It will save us a few K over the course of the loan. They used Ally bank. It will qualify for a refinance through our credit union when they do their yearly 0% deal this fall.
