The civic has 5 more hp, but is FWD, weighs ~100 more lbs, and gets worse MPG.

and runs the 1/4 1 second slower baha
oh yeah the brz DOES NOT get better gas mileage what are you on? The si is 28 city/35 highway the brz is 22/30?

These aren't drag cars......who cares what the 1/4 mile is......

6-Speed Manual (City/Highway/Combined) 22 / 31 / 25 <----------right from Honda's website

Fuel economy**, manual transmission (hwy/city): 30/22 MPG <--------------from Subaru
Also Standard on: Premium

Fuel economy**, automatic transmission (hwy/city): 34/25 MPG

So yes, the MT does get slightly better for the SI, but the AT BRZ trumps it.

Nobody wants to drive an SI over a BRZ........Let the faboys come raging

the only catch is, the brz, to start, is about 2000 over priced

so glad you compare an automatic brz to a manual si, go with an automatic civic and it trumps the brz there too. don't be mad you bought a car that doesn't outperform a civic.. it is ok friend

also you pointed out that the civic makes a whopping 5 more whp and weights 100 pounds more, but guess what? the civic runs a whole second faster so which is the better performing car? You bought a performance car why? if you didn't buy it for performance what then?

AT SI currently do not exist in the current model year.

I didn't buy my car for the performance. I didn't buy it to race, to track, to drag, or to be an idiot. I bought it because I wanted a small, light weight car, and I love the way it looks. Performance comes second to those three standards.

The civic SI is NOT a better performing car and the is NO level of convincing you could do to convince me so......I do NOT care if it comes out 1 second faster on the drag. You would be ignorant to think that the SI is a better performing car.

/e
And just a moment of research...... the SI ranges from 14.3-14.9 quarter mile while the BRZ runs average 14.9......I wouldn't say it's a full second faster.....

oh and look at this....from motortrend

Engine/Horsepower/Torque Fuel Economy Weight 0-60 MPH Quarter Mile 60-0 MPH Figure Eight

2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe 2.4L I-4/201-HP/170 lb-ft 22/31 mpg 2835 lb 6.5 sec 15.0 sec @ 92.3 mph 121 ft 26.4 sec @0.66 g (avg)

2013 Subaru BRZ 2.0L F-4/200-hp/151 lb-ft 22/30 mpg 2747 lb 6.4 sec 14.9 sec @ 95.5 mph 120 ft 26.2 sec @ 0.68 g (avg)

Oh god it barely traps in the 90's.

Quick go race a V6 minivan and post vids.

Also a civic SI makes 20lb/ft more torque. For shame. For shame.

Why are we arguing performance of 2 slow cars?

They run the 1/4 1 second faster than my stock 2500$ Miata, AND my stock 2001 Lincoln towncar. Who cares?

Now they will look a little prettier

...from the rear view mirror of most other "performance" cars.
