If you have a clean surface when you apply, and apply the correct amount of coats, it's easy to get off. It's the overspray/thin coats that are more of a bitch to get off.

How did you mess up? If you have bumps/tears or other imperfections, it's semi difficult to get a smooth finish from that. You're going to have to spot remove the problem and respray.

Not 100% sure when we were letting the 3rd coat dry we came back and noticed a small bubble so we smoothened it out the best we could (can't even tell it's there from a distance)

My entire Miata is plasti dipped. And though I don't think it's a good idea to plasti dip an entire car, it's holding up surprisingly well.

That guy that does the YouTube channel for dipyourcars or whatever it's called makes some cars look sick AF with plasti dip

Ive platidipped my grill, headlights and tail lights... its only been a month but its holding up super well and looks really good.
I got pulled over and had to peel off my headlights. It peeled off very well with only 2 layers

I highly recommend it

Fuck that

If you do it, look at fonzie from dipyourcar on youtube, his videos and advice are extremely helpful.
also, the plasti dip forums have boat loads of information on there.
its almost addicting, at first i was just going to do my rims, im slowly doing more and more with it
Also, there is a learning curve, i improved significantly after my first dip, and i can guarantee my next dip will be even better.

Really can't beat it, considering absolute worst case scenario, you hate it , and peel it off , your only loss is like 10 or 20 bucks, and a few hours of time.

I love plasti dip

Plasti dip costs as much, if not MORE, than paint.

Light areas tend to give trouble peeling, and it takes at least double the amount to achieve the same coverage. From my experience, that is. Get a 50 dollar spray gun (doesn't have to be air compressor powered), and 50 dollars in paint, you'd be in a much better place in my opinion.
