If my sway bar came detached I'd just take the whole thing off rather than risk it getting caught on something.  It's probably only a few bolts and it's not like it's serving any function at all if it's detached.  It's also not like you really need it.

...

I guess if they put sway bars long time ago and still install it on new car, it's kind of important.

I could not change it before my gf do 550kms with the car, but now that she's arrived at her place in one piece, the car ill get to the garage soon enought..

Dont jerk your wheel and take any high speed corners and you'll be fine, given it is your sway bar end link that's actually the problem.

What did I say that isn't completely correct? If one side is not connected the sway bar will definitely do absolutely nothing. Maybe it's not 8 bolts? Mine is held to the frame with 4 bolts and 1 more on each sided for the links, I could take it off in 5 minutes, 10 tops. And I am positive he doesn't need it if he doesn't plan on entering into any race competitions anytime soon. It's not going to handle as well but it's also not going to do a barrel roll at a stop sign.

I guess I should have said, "If my sway bar came detached and instead of just fixing it I'm going to leave it there and ask questions on a forum." Before I'd do that I'd just fix it, but if I weren't fixing it I'd rather take it off than leave it hang there.

Highway driving can be scary without a sway bar.

I drove around for weeks without a front sway bar on my crown vic while I was trying to figure out how to get it to fit with my oversized control arms. I had zero problems, even on the highway. When I had a wrangler I had quick disconnect links for off road that I'd forget to reconnect, no problems. Driving around without a sway bar is not a big deal, unless you're pretending you're too fast and too furious. And like I said, if shit was broken and just dangling around, why wouldn't you just take it off until you fix it?
