As for impractical, a devil's advocate could argue that  the Diesel, being that I am a mechanic, with 100,000 less miles than my rusty, 14mpg, is going to need a whole lot of work soon, jeep may not be as crazy as it sounds.

Sure it's 50 years old. The rubber is probably shot, big surprise, not hard. The thing runs and drives, gets 40 mpg without a sweat, is currently legal, and looks to be in overall better shape than the truck it'd replace.

That was the argument that prompted this thread.

But enough with the trying to make me mad, it's not going to happen, not over the internet, so just be straight. I am.
