Update the noise is actually coming from the front driver side wheel, would the problem still be the same?

Squeaking like a door hinge in the front is usually ball joints in my experience. You will need to get it up on a 2 post lift to really figure it out.

here is a video i just uploaded, hope this is clear enough to exactly what it sounds like and where it's coming from

http://youtu.be/rfVShQgHGvI

i was pulling down on the step bar by the way, and those washers are chewed up on both sides, but the noise is only coming from the FRONT driver side. so that makes me think it cant be that

edit: sorry for the shaky camera, I was pulling on the truck while holding the camera

Haha there's your problem. You have no sway bar end link bushings anymore. The OEM rubber rotted/vibrated away.

Get a sway bar end link kit.

Either polyurethane. Or rubber. I prefer poly.

Yea, poly lasts longer. Should always do both sides imo. If one side is all the way gone like that, the other can't be far behind.
This is what they're supposed to look like.

just replaced the sway bar link myself today, with all the bushings, and didnt fix the problem. at all. 60 bucks down the hole so far on this project, but i suppose fixing that was necessary anyway.. I bought some silicone grease and greased the hell out of both top and bottom ball joints and where they connect to the body, and still no fix. the noise MIGHT be slightly better now, but not by much.

i took it to a mechanic today too, because i needed my oil changed and they had a special $10 multi point inspection (thought, what the hell why not) and they think its the ball joints, which was a ridiculous amount to change (between parts and labor). they also said that most likely even if i changed them out the problem could return.

wtf man. i want to be able to sell the truck in 2-3 years and no one will want this noise maker

You can do the ball joints yourself in a day if you want to replace them and Im sure someone makes a heavier duty aftermarket version.

That being said, before you through more parts at it you should inspect all of your steering and suspension linkages in the front. You can inspect all of the joints for play fairly easily.

The sway bar should have a couple of bushings it passes through to hold it in place, is the noise coming from them? If you you could probably just great them/the sway bar.
