You can refer to my other Miata thread to see the wheels and lips I am running as well.

Ahem.

I think the color of blue you have picked out works. Personally, I'd offset the color with a darker blue accent. I forget; is it a hardtop? If so, I'd paint the top the darker blue color.

Ahh yes, thanks for linking the thread lol. I'm literally at the end of a 24 hour shift at work here so my brain may be a little scattered. Also check page 4 for better pic, that's after I started cleaning her up.

Yes, it's a hard top. I know what you mean with the offset. I feel like these cars are beautiful in certain blue's, but if you do the entire thing in the one color it looks really generic. So I'm not sure if I want to go darker on the top, black on the top, or instead do an offset on the bottom of the car. Maybe something like a light black or darker color pattern, checkers or something perhaps that fade into the blue about 8-9 inches from the bottom. Idk, sounds weird but I'll try and find a pic so you see what I mean.

Bleh fuck it, I'll find a pic later. Way too tired right now. Maybe I'll have a better idea of how I want the paint to look when I wake up.

Spray it in john deere blitz black. It's cheap, tough, and will make it look like a track car.

Well, there's a couple of reasons I don't want to do this.

Firstly this car is an import. I get called rice often enough without painting it flat black. Even though I've mostly de-riced it now. De-stickered, stock exhaust, set the camber back close to factory, un-slammed it. Just the wheels and the lips alone is enough to get called rice, I can't imagine the shit I'd get if the car was flat black too.

And secondly, the car has 84k original miles on it, and is in great condition other than the fender and quarters. Zero rust, untouched power train, nice interior. I really feel the car is worthy of body repairs and a nice coat of decent paint to restore it to its former glory.

Cuz racecar. It's actually semi flat. People paint exotics with it. Your original description was cheap and decent. I assumed you were going to do the nice paint job later.

When I google this paint, the cars I see don't look nearly as good as that one lol. But yeah check out google to see that paint on a Miata, they don't look so good. And I feel like it's going to be around the same amount of work to paint it that color or the blue that I want.

$30/gal, no primer necessary. You can paint over it if you use an enamel paint. I understand why you want to do the blue. I recommended this because it can't be beaten for cost, prep time, and durability.

I'm at work on my phone. But I'll update and answer your questions when I'm home.
