Yeah.. for a first timer, always.. and I mean ALWAYS assume cars can't see you.. that alone has saved my life a couple times.. I grew up on dirtbikes, got my first bike (86' gxsr 750) when I was 18, they are more fun in my opinion, after my girlfriend starts working again and can help with bills, im going to look into getting a new r6. But a buddy of mine had a fz8 at one point and he said it handled more like a dirtbike than a crotch rocket.. either way have fun and be safe on the roads

Appreciate the tips man! I will for sure be aware of everything.

I was hoping the fz8 would be more like that then crotch rocket. Suits me much better.

yea you'll be sitting more up right, which is a lot better for commuting/long distance.

not really, it's all preference. A* is usually good. I have one of their textile armored jacket for when i ride and it's comfy.
