If you are good you can shift without using the clutch.

Turn on speakers he explains how ya do it...ya hear a little clink in his shifting w.o clutch but not bad at all.

Sometimes you just gotta. haha.

Anyone with a hydraulic clutch long enough will encounter the "oh shit pedal hit the floor" situation at least once in their lifetime. I've had to drive home like this more times than I'd like to admit.

Plus I find it is an awesome skill to have. It makes you better understand the rotational differences between the engine/flywheel and the drivetrain. And I feel it makes you a better driver...Er... well for me at least..

Low geared vehicles clutchless shift a lot. Saves wear and tear on the clutch (Captain Obvious), you just need to be able to syncho/rev match pretty well to make it fall into gear without destroying main gear teeth. haha

Plus it gets you all the ladies.  ;)

theres synchros in passenger vehicle transmissions for a reason. big trucks dont have them is why we dont use a clutch the conventional way. only time you hit it is when you go to take off from a stop.

its pretty foolish to shift w/o a clutch in a passenger because of the risk of destroying your internals.

I agree... I have clutch-less shifted a old school F150 all the way home out of necessity before but I would never do it under regular circumstances
