its not super easy to break glass to be honest, there are way that are easy but not how you would think

i have hit a side window with a mag light 5-6 times before it broke (corners/center/top/bottom)

but the easiest way i have done it was taking one of the old school metal antennas off and holding it against the car so the tip is on a corner, then bending it back and letting it go (whipping motion) i have done 3 like that first try

Yes. The corner is the weak point. I've seen a cop try a mag light a few times before he got it. A spring loaded punch is still the easiest way. The antenna is accomplishing the same thing. You have to put a big load on as small of an area as possible.

/actual thread

I keep a spring loaded center punch in all of my vehicles.  Emergency personnel around here have them too.  It takes minimal effort to pop a window with one.  Put it in the corner and push...

they also said they busted the myth about carlos hathcock shooting a vietnamese sniper through his scope and hitting him in the eye. instead of using a scope comparable to something the vietnamese used in the late 60s they were trying to shoot through a modern scope with a hell of a lot more lenses in it.

point being just because mythbusters cant replicate something doesnt mean it cant happen. im sure firefighters have a lot better knowledge about things like busting windows out than some lab nerds

e/ still not a bad idea having a glass breaker but the video was demonstrating real world conditions and id say odds are slim of someone just happening to have a glass breaker on them
