Hm.

If I tell you I'm looking for a 225/45/R17 tire, do you know what that nomenclature refers to?

225- tire width
45- sidewall profile (not sure if its the measurement of the sidewall)
17- rim size

you should worry about the other stuff that comes along with getting an apprentiship
and dont forget the oil drain plug as you said your working at an audi dealership you will have high end customers

from what ive seen trolling around in here andy has some good knowledge

Eric The Car Guy on youtube man.

As far as tire specific things, I'd imagine going to a shop and asking would get you a lot further. That or looking up things like this:
None of which helps unless thats the machine you'll be using.
Also..Jesus christ what a hideous wheel in the first part.

No deadline. :P It'll be done when its ready.

And to split hairs, it's been way longer than a year overall. I'm in no rush.

XXX/YYY/ZZZ

X = Tire width, in mm
Y = Ratio of sidewall, relative to tire width, in mm
Z = Rim size in inches

215/35/18

X = 215mm
Y = 75.25mm (215mm x 35% = 75.25mm)
Z = 18 inches

Run flats and low pros will be a pain until you get used to them, they will make you tons of money afterwards.

40 and lower sidewall profile are considered low profile tires, so yes, R8s do have low pro tires.
