Nothing illegal about them. In fact when I was a Minor and got my first speeding ticket the judge told me to get one. Apparently them going off will remind you and make you pay closer attention to your speed.

They're all a waste of money, and generally used as a crutch/excuse to speed more.

But if you're going to get one, get the V1.

The K40 RL100 will pay any speeding ticket within the first year, even if it goes off and you ignore it.

Only way they wont pay it is if someone got hurt, its in a school zone, its in a work zone, or if its DUI/OUI related.

They won't pay for the ticket, they will reimburse you for the ticket.
Are they going to pay for the hike in your insurance rates too?

If you had bought the superior unit to begin with, you wouldn't need to rely on their gimmicks they use to sell those sub-par radar detectors.

Reimburse is the same thing. You still dont have to pay for the ticket itself in the long run and no they wont pay the insurance.

All its intended for is incase you do somehow get a ticket with the RL100, they will cover it. IMO that's a pretty good deal.

And the RL100 is considered to be one of the best portable detectors to date. Just so you know. Not only do they have the product on point, the warranty is better too.

/e Your comments make me assume you actually know nothing about radar detectors, especially the brand K40.

If you compare the two (RL100 vs V1)

The RL100 is cheaper, has more range in radar, better warranty, a LOT more features, and imo looks better.

So idk what your argument even is..

I mean come on, the V1's cant even make it through a toll booth without going off..

Paying for something and getting reimbursed for something is the same thing?




Didn't realize the caliber of person i was talking to.
High school educated honda drivers would know most about radar detectors though.

So you'er saying that when you drop $100 on a ticket, then get $100 check in the mail, you still had to spend money out of your pocket?
