Ive got 4.10s currently which should be ok for now but eventually Ill need to upgrade.



I got them mounted today and Im about to ride back to Summit Racing and grab some new lug nuts. Once I get my ball joints and tie rod ends swapped out Ill but my rear fenders and try and mount them.
Hopefully I can do all of that tonight/tomorrow morning so I can drive back home.


And when u do upgrade, do it with axles not gears

I would love to go that route. We will se how it all plays out. If the D30 front axle holds up long enough for me to save some $ ill be good.


So I got my ball joints installed and MAN was that a pain (literally, Im quite sore). The ball joint press required a TON of torque to press them in and out and even with a breaker bar it took all of my weight and muscle (granted im skinny).
The driver side took WAY longer than it should have but I got it done and then the passenger side went much quicker. Sadly the stock tie rod ends arent both removable so the new ends i bought are useless (for one side at least). So my Jeep is sitting at my parents until next weekend. Hopefully i can get a new tie rod delivered by then.

This is how the front will look roughly. My jack was maxed out and I still need to go up another 1/2 inch or so to get the wheel mounted.

It looked like ill have a decent bit of clearance without the lift.

i dont want my shit all jacked up in the air, thats pointless, i want enought room to articulate and move with out it having a high center of gravity

Love my D rated BFG KM2's.. I laugh when I see E rated tires for off road.. they dont flex worth a shit unless your truck weighs like 10,000lbs

My E rated Trail Grapplers flex just fine when aired down. 4000 lb Tacoma.

E rated tires are more suited for towing. They have a lot stiffer sidewalls that are generally shorter (makes it more rigid for towing)

I am sure there are exceptions but I haven't seen any E rated tire flex as good as my KM2's unless they have beadlocks and are at like 6psi.

Believe it or not the sidewall of a tire has a huge affect on traction whether we are talking about anything from drag racing or rock crawling.
