Legally? Not sure, but we are no strangers to taking the sled on public roads when there is several feet of unplowed snow. Really, whose going to stop you? Havent had a huge dumping like that in years, but its happened

Can you ride snowmobiles legally if there's a lot of snow?

Not really sure if im following you here?
Is there somewhere it's illegal to drive snowmobiles? :o Im from Sweden and never heard of places being illegal to drive ( except for natural areas and such, you know ) But people drive everywhere here. There is even drive through on certain McDonalds and such up here in north of Sweden xD

Got my eyes on a other snowmobile now that is a bit cheaper and its a 600 machine, a Arctic Cat 600 sx Sno Pro 2012 or Arctic Cat XC 600 -10 144" with Oil Injection. Gonna ask a friend tomorrow if some of them are a good buy.

Generally speaking I hate oil injection systems. If they fail, you end up with a blown engine. I prefer to pre mix so I know exactly what oil ratio I'm running and I have control over it.

I say generally speaking because there are no snowmobiles where I'm from.

You will love that machine.
Not too heavy, and built specifially for what you want to use it for.

In the short term, no. The longer you keep it the riskier it gets. I've been in and around a few 200hp outboard engines that had oil injection systems fail. No es bueno.
