well i am going to pick up tires this week, will wait another month or so before i can replace the wheels though. any last thoughts or suggestions before i do? brands to stay away from and perhaps others to cling to?

Go here http://www.tirerack.com/, enter in your vehicle information. They will group compatible tires by what you want to do with them. Read reviews, there`s TONS on there. Decide from there. Their prices are decent as well.

just call your tire shop and ask for a quote.. then call another and ask for a quote on the same thing. gl hf gz etc.

thanks a lot for the link, one of the places i called has the le2 destination tires that this site has for the same price. seems like a safe bet. good reviews, good price
