8th gens are better than the 9th. Higher redline. Either way they're not fast stock, at all. Imo the 8ths look better too, 09-11 being the best.

Uh... hense why I said from 06-09...

That is the 8th gen civics...

but yeah should have said 06-2011

Driving experience?

The obvious choice is the frs.......

Though I'm not sure why you say you like the frs over the brZ, unless it's specifically the front bumper or the small price difference., there is no logical reason to like the frs over the brZ.

A 5.0 would be an option but he seems concerned about mpg...

22/30/25 combined
Vs
15/26/19 combined

There is only a $400 per year difference in fuel costs because the 200hp car requires premium.

so yeah... its a valid option. He can pick up a lightly used 12 premium for less than a new frs I think.

Less? Car prices are really different demographically. I would say he get a used for the same price.

I also bet he would, like most people, would be heavy on that has peddle.

The cost to insure my BRZ is considerably less than what i was quoted for a mustang.

OP;
Go test drive all 3, the choice will be easy after that B)

It's pretty close. I've seen some 12' GT premiums with <20k miles going for low 20's. IIRC the FRS is 25kish MSRP? The majority of the mustangs are in the mid 20's as well.

He will be heavy on the gas peddle in both cars. He would be heavy on the gas pedal in the mustang because he likes going fast. He would be heavy on the gas pedal in the FRS to stay with traffic. It's really frightening that the cars are that close on fuel mileage ratings.

Test driving should always be a requirement unless you have already driven one of the models extensively.
