i was coming back from KU behind kentucky speedway and cut across industrial drive to turkeyfoot road. i hit the stoplight where i have to make a left onto turkeyfoot and the truck started jackknifing at about 3mph lol. i was like nooooooooooo all in slow motion it seemed like. that ice wasnt playing around. i made good time on 275 and got off at wilder and hit the bottom of the big hill and it took me 3 hours to make it like 1.5 miles to 27. after that i ran 55 down the AA with no problems because no one else was out then.

the road mightve been shut down idk but it wasnt stopping me lol.

and isnt that kohls and kroger in the shopping center with home depot?

Yeah, that's the one.

Our depot was in Wilder, and I was running Alexandria/Cold Spring and I did that little country grocery store (Forget the name) way down on AA. That whole area was hit the hardest too, it was a shitty day.

]its not the roads in cincy you have to worry about its the other drivers[/B]. most of them are horrible at driving. too many spooks rolling on dubs.

and id say theres about 4 months of good winter. when it starts is usually a guessing game. it might start snowing during halloween or it might not start until christmas (or later). and cincy is right on the line where you can get snow and/or ice. ive seen it snow in cincy and in kentucky on the south side of the river it done nothing but ice.

you could say that about anywhere. I live in Southern NJ and when we get those PA drivers over here attempting to navigate a circle or use a jug handle.... its a catastrophe. And we get similar weather to you, who knows when it may/may not snow. It was like 38 degrees this past weekend, and its going to be 70 on Halloween. just craziness

All season tires kind of suck for true winter driving, despite what the name may lead you to believe. Get a WINTER tire.

Nokian makes some of the best winter driving tires in the world. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Ive been driving in one of the snowiest parts of the country most of my life.

theres the marathon truck stop and right across from it is california marketplace. its probably the marketplace you went to. it has pretty much a full grocery store inside of it and a deli.

Still having mixed responses.

I think it may be a good idea, they are actually cheaper than buying a new set. And for future use they will be much cheaper to replace. I currently have 215/45Z/17 BF Goodrich tires on now.

I'll also be able to take my OEM wheels to the Wheel Doctor in Cincinnati to repair some scuff marks.

I could prolly get away with some all season tires, but I like the additional perks that come with having a winter set of tires. If I look at them and they have decent tread life left I'll pick them up.

in all seriousness if you are worried then do it. but i live in portsmouth ohio, Directly east of you about 2 hours, and i drove my 2000 s10 last year on summer tires (2wd) perfectly in the snow, with no sand bags or anything, it actually was the best in snow i have ever had. Also, if you could, pick up a 3-way from skyline and a coney and drive that shit here to portsmouth. lol

seriously, if youre worried and you got the spare cash, then id do it.

i had a 2000 s10 4x4 and it wouldnt go for shit in 2wd on wrangler rt/s tires. on rainy roads it didnt like taking off worth a damn either. idk what its deal was. also we have a terminal in piketon on 23 right before the uranium plant.

There's a driving school right after the A-plant on the left of 23. Right before on the right is some construction shit. Who do you work for? Where In Kentucky do you live?
