Application dependent. For super low end nothing beats a screw style blower. Big centrifugal superchargers are easier to tune and control on the reaaaalllly high hp cars. Turbos are the best of both worlds in a way. You can make more mid range than any blower and it will carry up top. Since the power isn't linear or dependent on engine rpm it is a bit harder to put the power down consistently without traction control built into the boost controller. Thats theoretically speaking on high hp setups. On your cousin's bolt on import it doesn't matter because no one cares.
